Cinemavixion Review

This documentary offers an intimate look into the painstaking process of restoring a World War II-era Spitfire, focusing on a specific Greek aircraft nearing completion. The narrative skillfully interweaves the technical challenges of bringing a legendary machine back to life with the deeply personal stakes involved. We witness the dedication of the team, the emotional investment of the owners, and the poignant hope of a veteran, George Dunn, who longs to see his former mount take to the skies once more. The inclusion of a subplot featuring the boss's son, Alex, receiving a flying lesson in a training aircraft from the war era, adds a generational layer, connecting past and present through the enduring legacy of aviation. As the maiden flight looms, tensions and emotions understandably run high, making for compelling viewing that celebrates both engineering prowess and human connection to history.
