THE BURIAL

Cinemavixion Review

Michael Escalante's 'The Burial' plunges viewers into a tense, unpredictable narrative where familial obligation spirals into a dangerous conspiracy. The film masterfully builds suspense, drawing audiences into a plot rife with unforeseen twists and escalating stakes. Faith Kearns, Aaron Pyle, and Vernon Taylor deliver compelling performances that anchor the escalating dread, making the characters' perilous journey feel all too real. While the setup hints at a straightforward thriller, the execution reveals a deeper exploration of desperation and the unintended consequences of entanglement. This is a tightly-wound cinematic experience that keeps you guessing until the very end, a testament to Escalante's confident direction in crafting a gripping tale of survival.
