THE BRITISH MAN WHO PIONEERED MODERN WITCHCRAFT

Cinemavixion Review

This documentary delves into the fascinating origins of modern Wicca, tracing its roots back to 1930s Britain and the enigmatic figure of Gerald Gardner. Professor Ronald Hutton, a distinguished historian in Pagan Studies, guides us through the unlikely journey of this spiritual movement, from its beginnings in a Dorset nudist colony to its current status as a rapidly growing global religion. The film offers a compelling look at how a niche practice evolved into a significant cultural and religious force over seven decades. It’s an insightful exploration for anyone interested in the history of religion, counter-culture movements, or the evolution of spiritual beliefs in the modern era.
