THE BRIDGE

Cinemavixion Review

Jason Campbell's 'The Bridge' plunges viewers into the chilling mystique of the New River Gorge Bridge in West Virginia, a structure of immense scale that has tragically become a magnet for despair. The film, while not providing a specific year of release, delves into a darker, almost supernatural undercurrent that draws individuals to its precipice. Campbell, alongside actors Tim Ross, Michael Sigler, and Beck Rosser, crafts a narrative that is less about the engineering marvel and more about the psychological abyss it seems to represent. An EMT and a demon hunter become unlikely guides through this unsettling phenomenon, seeking to understand the profound, unnerving compulsion that leads people to such a drastic end. It's a compelling, albeit somber, exploration of human vulnerability set against a backdrop of awe-inspiring natural beauty and man-made grandeur.
