THE BOGMAN

Cinemavixion Review

In "The Bogman" (2023), director Mitch Laing crafts a tense survival horror narrative that delves into the unsettling reality behind local folklore. The film centers on a family who, seeking a quieter life on a rural farm, find themselves confronting a legend that proves chillingly real. Starring Benjamin Gross, C. Damon Adcock, and Marcus Allen, the movie effectively blends creature feature elements with rural horror, capitalizing on the isolation of its setting and the primal fear of the unknown. While the plot summary suggests a creature lurking in the woods, the external data hints at a 'Bigfoot tourism town,' adding an intriguing layer to the family's predicament. With a respectable IMDb rating of 6.7, "The Bogman" appears to be a solid choice for fans of suspenseful monster movies and survival thrillers, offering a compelling exploration of how myths can manifest into terrifying realities.
