THE BILL COLLECTOR

Cinemavixion Review

Cristobal Krusen's 'The Bill Collector' plunges viewers into the gritty underbelly of debt collection, where desperation fuels a high-stakes gamble. Danny Trejo anchors the film as the beleaguered Lorenzo Adams, a man whose own financial woes collide violently with his profession. The narrative expertly weaves a tale of escalating tension as Adams finds himself entangled with a ruthless loan shark and his menacing enforcer. Adams' ill-fated scheme to scam his way out of trouble, involving both his agency and a local mission, provides a darkly comedic yet cautionary exploration of morality under pressure. Despite its modest critical reception, the film offers a compelling crime drama with sharp performances, particularly from Trejo, making it a noteworthy entry for fans of the genre.
