THE BEAUTIFUL LIVES OF THE RWENZORI MOUNTAINS

Cinemavixion Review

Mountains and Life journeys to the rooftop places of our world, offering a profound look at the diverse communities who inhabit, revere, and protect these majestic landscapes. Narrated by the compelling voice of Matthew Gravelle, this series masterfully blends breathtaking cinematography with deeply resonant storytelling. It unveils the myriad ways individuals—farmers, artists, scientists, musicians, and monks—adapt to and find meaning in the 'high life.' From the soaring peaks of the Himalayas to the rugged Andes and the classic Alps, the series fosters an emotional connection to these iconic mountain ranges. The Rwenzori Mountains, straddling the border of Uganda and the Democratic Republic of the Congo, are presented not just as geographical marvels, but as vital ecosystems sustained by the unique human experiences found within them.
