THE ATTIC

Cinemavixion Review

In 'The Attic,' a chilling tale from 2007, Elisabeth Moss delivers a compelling performance as Emma, a young woman whose family's move to a new house plunges them into a nightmarish reality. The film expertly builds suspense as Emma discovers a doppelgänger in the dusty confines of the attic, a spectral presence that begins to relentlessly haunt her. The claustrophobic atmosphere of the old house becomes a character in itself, amplifying the psychological terror. Moss navigates Emma's descent into fear with palpable intensity, making the audience question the nature of the haunting – is it external or a manifestation of inner turmoil? The narrative cleverly explores themes of identity and the unsettling feeling of being watched, promising a disquieting cinematic experience for fans of psychological horror.
