THE ARCHITECT

Cinemavixion Review

Jonathan Parker's "The Architect" presents a compelling domestic thriller that delves into the unsettling dynamics of creative control and personal boundaries. The narrative centers on a couple who find their aspirations for a dream home dangerously entangled with the vision of their hired architect. Eric McCormack and Parker Posey deliver nuanced performances as they navigate the escalating tension, their initial excitement curdling into unease as the architect's obsessive nature takes hold. The film masterfully builds suspense, exploring themes of ambition, possession, and the insidious ways in which external forces can disrupt intimate spaces. It's a thought-provoking exploration of how the pursuit of perfection can lead to unforeseen and potentially destructive consequences within the sanctuary of one's own home.
