Cinemavixion Review

This documentary from Absolute History delves into the profound impact of the 2011 Christchurch Earthquake, not just on the city's landscape but on its rich cultural heritage. Following Brigid Gallagher and her team, we witness a unique challenge: the creation of a 'pop-up' container exhibit designed to showcase artifacts unearthed in the wake of the disaster. The film offers a poignant look at how even in devastation, the remnants of history can be salvaged and presented, fostering a connection to the past amidst present-day recovery. It's a compelling narrative about resilience, memory, and the vital work of preserving heritage in the face of catastrophic events.
