THE AMERICAN RIPPER

Cinemavixion Review

"The American Ripper" plunges viewers into the chilling abyss of domestic horror, masterfully helmed by director Chuck Morrongiello. This psychological thriller, starring Morrongiello and Karolina Morrongiello, explores the terrifying transformation of a seemingly ordinary husband into a sadistic killer. The narrative skillfully crafts a sense of dread as newlyweds Bobby and Lola discover their dream home has become a gilded cage. Lola's fight for survival against her husband's descent into madness is both gripping and disturbing. Comparisons to films like "Gerald's Game" and "Sleeping with the Enemy" are apt, as "The American Ripper" delivers relentless suspense and a profound look at the terror that can lurk beneath the surface of domesticity. Its exploration of psychological unraveling and the fight for survival marks it as a compelling entry in the genre.
