THE 100 YEAR ELEPHANT-HUMAN CONFLICT: HOW DANGEROUS IS IT?

Cinemavixion Review

This documentary plunges viewers into the heart of East Africa's escalating human-elephant conflict, a stark testament to the challenges of coexistence in a rapidly changing world. The film compellingly follows dedicated conservationists and scientists as they grapple with this complex issue, seeking innovative, sustainable solutions that prioritize the safety of both human communities and these magnificent pachyderms. A particularly striking element is the exploration of rare elephants mining for salt within the caves of Mount Elgon, offering a rare glimpse into their natural behaviors. The narrative also unflinchingly examines the deep-seated trauma inflicted by poaching, revealing how past aggressions can fuel current tensions. It is a powerful, real-life struggle for survival, presented with urgency and a profound respect for the natural world.
