THANK HEAVEN

Cinemavixion Review

John Asher's "Thank Heaven" offers a charmingly whimsical premise: what if the Almighty, while on a terrestrial holiday, suffered a blow to the head and lost his memory? The resulting amnesia turns a divine being into an unwitting, benevolent force on Earth. Matt Keeslar navigates this unique role with a surprising depth, embodying a God stripped of his omniscience but not his capacity for compassion. Jenny McCarthy-Wahlberg and Gia Carides provide excellent support, grounding the fantastical elements with relatable human performances. While the film leans into its feel-good comedy aspirations, it also subtly explores themes of faith, identity, and the impact one individual can have on the lives around them. It's a gentle, optimistic film that encourages viewers to find the miraculous in everyday interactions.
