TAUGHT IN COLD BLOOD

Cinemavixion Review

P. David Miller's 2017 thriller, "Taught in Cold Blood," plunges into the dark psyche of Cameron, a young man ostracized and pushed to his limits by a tumultuous upbringing and societal alienation. The narrative, penned by Darien Harte, expertly crafts a descent into violence, initiated by the arrival of the enigmatic Tony, a stranger who seems to unlock Cameron's predatory instincts. As Cameron embarks on a grim path of murder, he finds himself entangled with Amy, a young woman who offers a stark contrast to his violent inclinations. This central conflict forces Cameron to confront a profound choice between a life dominated by bloodshed and the possibility of love. While the film may not have garnered widespread critical acclaim or major awards, its strength lies in its raw exploration of adolescent rage and the corrupting influence of power. The performances, particularly from Luke Lippold, Mesindo Pompa, and Sara Drust, anchor the film's grim atmosphere, making "Taught in Cold Blood" a compelling, albeit disturbing, character study for fans of psychological thrillers.
