Released in 1960, "Tarzan and the Trappers" is a curious cinematic artifact, cobbled together from three unaired television episodes. The film pits the legendary Tarzan, portrayed by Gordon Scott, against the nefarious machinations of Schroeder, an unscrupulous animal collector, and his vengeful brother, Sikes. While the plot, which involves Tarzan himself becoming the hunted, offers a familiar jungle adventure, the re-edited television origins are palpable.
