TARZAN AND THE GREEN GODDESS

Cinemavixion Review

"Tarzan and the Green Goddess" from 1938 offers a quintessential jungle adventure, transporting audiences to Guatemala alongside Lord Greystoke. The narrative skillfully weaves a tale of lost totems, perilous quests, and the ever-present threat of villains seeking power. Directed by Edward A. Kull, the film features a compelling performance from Bruce Bennett as Tarzan, supported by Ula Holt and Frank Baker. The plot, rich with primitive tribes, hidden formulas, and treacherous escapes, showcases the enduring appeal of the Tarzan mythos. While the film may not boast the polish of later Hollywood productions, its earnest execution and adventurous spirit make it a noteworthy entry in the classic adventure genre, inviting viewers to lose themselves in a world of danger and discovery.
