TALK TALK: IN A SILENT WAY

Cinemavixion Review

This documentary delves into the enigmatic legacy of Talk Talk's seminal 1988 album, 'Spirit of Eden'. Thirty-four years after its release, a Belgian journalist embarks on a journey across the UK to piece together the story behind this critically acclaimed, yet notoriously private, art-rock masterpiece. The film grapples with the challenge of understanding a record produced by a band whose frontman, Mark Hollis, famously shunned interviews and restricted the use of their music. Featuring insights from individuals like Phill Brown, Ian Curnow, and Jim Irvin, the documentary attempts to shed light on the creative process and enduring mystique of Talk Talk's most revered work.
