TALES FROM THE OTHER SIDE

Cinemavixion Review

This anthology film plunges viewers into the heart of a thrilling Halloween night, where three adventurous children seek out the legendary "Scary Mary." The narrative cleverly frames a series of unsettling tales within the children's quest for an unforgettable trick-or-treat experience. Director Scotty Baker and his collaborators weave a tapestry of suspense, with each story offering a unique brand of fear that resonates with the primal anxieties of childhood. The film's strength lies in its ability to build atmosphere, transforming a familiar Halloween setting into a landscape of unexpected chills. While the IMDb rating suggests a niche appeal, the film's commitment to classic spooky storytelling makes it a worthy watch for those who appreciate a good scare, especially fans of the "Goosebumps" series looking for a slightly more mature take on the genre.
