Cinemavixion Review

This documentary plunges viewers into the gritty reality of early 1990s New York, a period when drug gangs cast a long shadow over the city. The narrative centers on a harrowing kidnapping case, which propels the NYPD and FBI to form a specialized task force, C-11. Their mission: to infiltrate the dangerous underworld and bring down the kingpins responsible. The film effectively captures the tension and high stakes involved in such operations, highlighting the bravery of law enforcement officers who risked everything. While the specific details of the gangs and the eventual takedown are crucial, the film's strength lies in its portrayal of the collaborative effort and the relentless pursuit of justice against overwhelming odds. It serves as a stark reminder of a challenging era and the dedication required to combat organized crime.
