TAKE A STAN

Cinemavixion Review

"Take a Stan" delves into the harrowing journey of Lisa James, a sociology professor trapped in an abusive marriage. The narrative masterfully crafts a tense atmosphere as Lisa seeks refuge with a student, amplifying the constant threat of her husband, Stan, discovering her location. While the local data omits directorial and release year specifics, the external data from OMDb confirms a 2019 release and identifies Janie Richardson Sloan as the director. This adds crucial context to the film's dramatic tension and exploration of domestic peril. The performances, particularly that of the lead, are central to the film's success in portraying the psychological and emotional toll of such a situation. It's a compelling, albeit disturbing, look at the desperate measures one might take to escape an inescapable situation.
