SWING STATE

Cinemavixion Review

"Swing State" offers a sharp, albeit somewhat niche, political satire centered on the intriguing premise of a Seattle DJ fabricating a conservative radio persona. Sean Astin anchors the film, lending his presence to this commentary on media manipulation and political theater. While the external data points to a 2017 release directed by Jonathan Sheldon, the core narrative—a bohemian DJ's on-air creation of an overnight sensation—remains consistent. The film delves into the complexities of identity and performance in the digital age, making it a thought-provoking watch for those interested in the intersection of culture and politics, even if its reception as indicated by IMDb ratings suggests a mixed audience response.
