SURVIVING VEGAS: A BUCK AT A TIME

Cinemavixion Review

In the vibrant, often surreal landscape of Las Vegas, "Surviving Vegas: A Buck at a Time" offers a poignant and sometimes humorous glimpse into the lives of individuals who have carved out a unique niche. Directed by Kimberly Alexader and Lawrence Porter, this 2014 documentary delves into the daily hustle of street performers who, in elaborate costumes, solicit tips from tourists for photo opportunities. The film, featuring Lawrence Porter himself, captures the ingenuity and resilience required to make a living in such an unconventional manner. It's a fascinating look at the characters that populate the fringes of the entertainment capital, presenting a slice of life that is both bizarre and deeply human.
