SURVIVAL OF THE FABULOUS

Cinemavixion Review

Bryce Sage's "Survival of the Fabulous" is a thought-provoking documentary that bravely tackles a complex and often misunderstood question: how can male homosexuality be reconciled with evolutionary biology? Sage, who also directs, guides viewers through an insightful exploration of the science behind sexual orientation, investigating the biological underpinnings and evolutionary pathways that may contribute to gay men being born as they are. The film eschews simplistic answers, instead opting for a nuanced examination of scientific theories and societal perspectives. While the runtime is concise, it packs a significant intellectual punch, encouraging viewers to reconsider established notions and fostering a deeper understanding of human diversity. This investigative piece is a valuable contribution to conversations surrounding LGBTQ+ identity and the intricate tapestry of human evolution.
