SUPER LEGEND GOD HIKOZA

Cinemavixion Review

Minoru Kawasaki, a director known for his quirky take on giant monster cinema, returns with "Super Legend God Hikoza," a film that promises and largely delivers a wild ride. This 2022 production plunges viewers into the world of Tadao and Takaho, two scientists from an Ultra-spatial research center who stumble upon a mecha's distress signal, heralding the approach of a monstrous sturgeon. The film boldly blends genres, weaving together a love story with the spectacle of kaiju battles, the antics of mad scientists, and the presence of humanoid robots. Kawasaki's signature absurd humor is on full display, injecting levity into the action-packed sequences. With a cast including Kyôka Isohara, Shôta Minami, and Ijiri Okada, "Super Legend God Hikoza" offers a unique cinematic experience that fans of offbeat sci-fi and kaiju fare will likely appreciate.
