SUNSET STRIP

Cinemavixion Review

William Webb's 1985 crime drama, "Sunset Strip," plunges viewers into the neon-drenched underbelly of Los Angeles. The film centers on photographer Mark Jefferson, portrayed by Tom Eplin, who finds himself entangled in a dangerous battle to protect a nightclub owned by his friend Roger. Eplin delivers a compelling performance as Jefferson, a man caught between personal loyalties and a growing threat from organized crime. The narrative masterfully weaves a tale of intrigue, as the true intentions of the mobsters—selling illegal weapons rather than running a prostitution ring—unfold. Cheri Cameron Newell adds depth as Carol, Jefferson's ex-girlfriend and a singer at the club, amplifying the personal stakes. "Sunset Strip" is a gritty exploration of danger and determination, driven by Webb's taut direction and a plot that keeps audiences on the edge of their seats, especially with Jefferson's trusty motorcycle playing a pivotal role in the unfolding action.
