SUNSET CARSON: RIDE FOR EDUCATION, FIGHT FOR JUSTICE

Cinemavixion Review

Oliver Drake's 1948 Western, "Sunset Carson: Ride for Education, Fight for Justice," presents a classic conflict between altruism and avarice. The plot follows Sunset Carson's earnest attempt to fund a new school, a noble endeavor threatened by his partner, Sam Webster. Webster's duplicitous plan to abscond with the funds raised from a benefit prize-fight adds a layer of suspense and moral ambiguity to the narrative. While the film stars Sunset Carson himself, alongside Al Terry and Pat Starling, its core appeal lies in the straightforward yet engaging struggle for the community's future against personal greed.
