SUGAR!

Cinemavixion Review

This independent film presents a compelling narrative centered on a suburban housewife who defies convention by forming an all-female rock band. The premise alone promises a journey of self-discovery and rebellion against societal expectations. As the protagonist's world is turned upside down, the film explores themes of passion, identity, and the courage to pursue one's dreams, even when they disrupt the established order. The performances, particularly from Alice Ripley, are integral to conveying the emotional weight of this transformation. It's a story that celebrates the unexpected paths life can take and the power of music to catalyze profound personal change.
