STRUGGLING TO SURVIVE IN A NEW COUNTRY

Cinemavixion Review

This documentary offers a stark and unflinching look at the profound impact of mass migration from Romania. It bravely confronts the harsh realities faced by those seeking a better life, highlighting pervasive racism and the desperate conditions endured by Roma communities, who have been displaced and are left to subsist in squalor with little hope for economic stability. While the newfound freedom to travel across Europe presents opportunities, the film poignantly questions the true meaning of this liberty when it necessitates leaving behind homes, families, and established lives. It is a vital, albeit somber, exploration of the human cost of systemic societal pressures and the enduring search for dignity and security.
