STRONG ENOUGH

Cinemavixion Review

"Strong Enough" presents a compelling narrative centered on the indomitable spirit of Sam, an amateur cross-fitter on the cusp of achieving professional status. Actress Ashley Jerue delivers a powerful performance, embodying Sam's resilience as she channels profound personal grief and marital strife into an extraordinary physical feat. The film masterfully intertwines the high-stakes drama of setting five world records within a tight timeframe with the emotional turmoil of a crumbling marriage, heightened by the unexpected arrival of divorce papers. Director John Foss crafts a tense and intimate portrayal of an athlete pushed to her absolute limits, where the competition becomes a desperate battle for self-worth and a future. The supporting cast, including Demetrius Grosse, Noah Kershisni, Kim Rhodes, and Jake Stormoen, contribute significantly to the emotional depth of Sam's struggle. This is more than just a sports drama; it's a testament to the strength found in overcoming adversity.
