Richard Elfman's "Streets of Rage" plunges viewers into the gritty underbelly of Hollywood, following investigative reporter Melody Sails, portrayed with tenacity by Mimi Lesseos. As Sails delves into a dangerous human trafficking ring, she finds herself in a perilous cat-and-mouse game with the enigmatic crimelord Lunar. The film, co-written by Lesseos and Elfman, blends elements of action, crime, and drama to create a narrative that, while occasionally rough around the edges, offers a compelling look at a reporter's descent into a dangerous world. Lesseos also anchors the film with a performance that carries the weight of its challenging subject matter.
