STREET MONKEYS

Cinemavixion Review

This documentary plunges viewers into the surprisingly dramatic world of vervet monkeys residing within South Africa's affluent Mount Edgecombe Estate. Titled 'Street Monkeys,' the film captures the daily lives of these primates, painting a vivid picture of their social dynamics and territorial disputes. The narrative highlights the emergence of the 'Sugar Cane Gang' as they challenge the established order, leading to an engaging portrayal of inter-group conflict. While the local data lacks specific production details, the external information suggests a 2009 release directed by Harry Marshall. The film's focus on the monkeys' 'kings' and their struggle for survival offers a unique lens through which to observe nature's resilience and the complexities of animal societies, making it a compelling watch for nature enthusiasts.
