STRANGER, MAKE THE SIGN OF THE CROSS

Cinemavixion Review

Demofilo Fidani's "Stranger, Make the Sign of the Cross" plunges viewers into the unforgiving landscape of the Spaghetti Western. Set in 1968, this film chronicles the relentless pursuit of a lone bounty hunter tasked with bringing in the dangerous Bandit Carson and his gang. The narrative gains immediate traction as our protagonist arrives in White City, only to find himself in direct conflict with Carson's volatile son, Lucas, marking him as a target for the entire Carson syndicate. Despite capture, the bounty hunter's resourcefulness and the timely intervention of Zoppo facilitate a daring escape, escalating the stakes for a final, violent showdown. The film masterfully explores the classic Western dichotomy of justice versus greed, questioning whether honor can survive in a world dominated by lucrative bounties. Charles Southwood, Jeff Cameron, and Cristina Penz deliver performances that anchor this gritty tale of survival and retribution on the lawless frontier.
