STRANGER IN THE WOODS

Cinemavixion Review

Adam Newacheck's 'Stranger in the Woods' plunges viewers into a chilling narrative of grief and escalating paranoia. The film masterfully crafts an atmosphere of unease as Olivia, reeling from the loss of her fiancé and the trauma of a home invasion, seeks solace with friends. The disappearance of her support dog serves as a catalyst, unraveling hidden secrets and amplifying Olivia's suspicions. Holly Kenney delivers a compelling performance, anchoring the film's emotional core amidst rising tensions and unexpected violence. Newacheck skillfully balances the psychological thriller elements with moments of raw human vulnerability, making 'Stranger in the Woods' a gripping exploration of trust and the darkness that can lurk beneath the surface, even among those closest to us.
