STRANGER IN THE HOUSE

Cinemavixion Review

"Stranger In The House" plunges viewers into a chilling psychological thriller, masterfully weaving a tale of marital bliss turned descent into madness. The narrative centers on Eve, whose dream marriage takes a dark turn when she moves into a house steeped in tragedy, the former residence of her husband's deceased first wife. As the oppressive atmosphere of the home intensifies, Eve's grip on reality begins to fray, leading to a gripping spiral of suspicion and paranoia. The film, featuring a compelling performance from Fatima Mai, supported by Mike Nojun Park and Angela Lin, effectively captures the claustrophobic dread and mounting suspense. Director Devon Gummersall crafts an unsettling mood, making the house itself a character, amplifying Eve's internal turmoil. This is a taut exploration of how past traumas can haunt the present, delivering a suspenseful and unnerving cinematic experience.
