STOLLIEZ

Cinemavixion Review

Carvell Brooks' "Stolliez" plunges viewers into the raw, unfiltered reality of urban youth navigating the treacherous streets of Milwaukee. The film captures a generation grappling with instant gratification, exploring the allure and ultimate peril of illicit activities. Through the eyes of four discombobulated young men, Brooks crafts a narrative steeped in the adrenaline of stealing foreign cars, profiting from their sale, and engaging in reckless, high-speed chases that define their existence. While the external data suggests a runtime of 117 minutes and an action-centric genre, the local description emphasizes the cultural nuances and the characters' internal struggles. "Stolliez" serves as a potent, albeit cautionary, tale about ambition, desperation, and the fleeting nature of success when built on a foundation of crime, offering a visceral glimpse into a subculture often overlooked.
