STILL TODAY

Cinemavixion Review

Tommy Walton's "Still Today" offers a surprising twist on the romantic comedy genre, delving into the aftermath of a wedding disaster with a dash of unexpected charm. The film centers on Pete, who finds himself jilted at the altar, only to receive a rather unconventional wedding gift from his groomsmen: an escort. What unfolds is a night that, influenced perhaps by a lunar eclipse or sheer serendipity, leads Pete to question his assumptions about love and companionship. Teri Wyble, Carlos Aviles, and Hunter Burke anchor the narrative, navigating the delicate balance between humor and heartfelt moments. While not a critical darling, "Still Today" presents a narrative that, despite its premise, aims for a more profound exploration of finding connection in the most unlikely of circumstances, making it a noteworthy watch for those seeking a rom-com with a different flavor.
