STEVIE D

Cinemavixion Review

Chris Cordone's "Stevie D" presents a darkly comedic crime drama, centering on a construction magnate's desperate attempt to shield his son after an accidental killing. The plot, which involves a hired actor to impersonate the son and unknowingly 'take the hit,' offers a unique twist on classic mob narratives. While the film garnered one award and a 4.9 rating on IMDb, its reception suggests a niche appeal. The performances, particularly from the ensemble cast including Torrey DeVitto and Kevin Chapman, navigate the delicate balance between absurdity and genuine stakes. "Stevie D" is a noteworthy entry for those seeking unconventional crime thrillers with a touch of dark humor.
