SPOOKT

Cinemavixion Review

Tony Reames' 'Spookt' plunges viewers into the shadowed heart of Greenville, Pennsylvania, where the disappearance of a young girl unravels a tapestry of buried secrets. The film skillfully pits paranormal investigator Claire against the staunch skepticism of Rachel, a dynamic that fuels the narrative as they delve into the infamous Dr. Byler's dark past and the chilling legend of the Gibson house. Eric Roberts delivers a compelling performance, anchoring the escalating supernatural occurrences that challenge the protagonists' preconceived notions of reality. 'Spookt' masterfully blends elements of horror and mystery, creating an atmosphere thick with dread and suspense. As the lines between belief and disbelief blur, the film offers a thought-provoking exploration of how the sins of the past can haunt the present, ensuring that the living are indeed terrorized by the specters of what came before.
