SPLINTER

Cinemavixion Review

David Bryant's "Splinter" is a chilling descent into grief and paranoia, anchored by a compelling performance from Jane Asher. The film masterfully blurs the lines between psychological torment and supernatural dread, immersing the viewer in John's isolated world. Bryant’s direction crafts an atmosphere thick with tension, where every creak and shadow feels like a harbinger of doom. While the IMDb rating suggests a mixed reception, the film's tight runtime and focused narrative on a man haunted by loss offer a potent exploration of how trauma can manifest. "Splinter" is a taut thriller that lingers, proving that the most terrifying monsters often reside within.
