SPACE MOMS

Cinemavixion Review

Radha Bharadwaj's "Space MOMs" is a testament to the power of perseverance and intellect, inspired by the remarkable true story of India's Mars Orbiter Mission (MOM). This 2019 drama, starring Bhavna Pani, Swati Das, and M.D. Pallavi, compellingly portrays the lives of brilliant, yet ordinary, middle-class working mothers who are also rocket scientists. The film masterfully balances the immense pressure of scientific innovation with the everyday challenges of family life, showcasing how these underdogs defied expectations to achieve a historic feat for India. With a narrative that champions hard work, family, and dreaming big, "Space MOMs" not only celebrates the achievements of these women but also serves as an inspirational beacon for young girls worldwide, encouraging them to pursue STEM fields and believe in their potential to reach for the stars. The film's portrayal of these unsung heroes, who prove that not all saviors wear capes but some wear saris, resonates with universal themes of love, persistence, and the triumph of the underdog.
