SOUTHERN GOSPEL

Cinemavixion Review

Jeffrey A. Smith's "Southern Gospel" presents a compelling narrative of redemption and faith, anchored by a strong performance from Max Ehrich as a rock star grappling with his past. The film charts his tumultuous journey from the excesses of the music industry to the quiet conviction of the pulpit, a childhood dream he must fight to reclaim. Co-starring Katelyn Nacon and Gary Weeks, the movie navigates themes of personal struggle and spiritual aspiration with a sincerity that has resonated with audiences, evidenced by its critical acclaim, including a notable 100% on Rotten Tomatoes and a reported gross of over $293,000 at the box office. While its IMDb rating stands at 5.7, the film's emotional arc and exploration of second chances offer a thought-provoking cinematic experience.
