SOMEWHERE QUIET

Cinemavixion Review

Olivia West Lloyd's 'Somewhere Quiet' is a masterclass in psychological tension, offering a chilling exploration of trauma and fractured reality. Marin Ireland delivers a tour-de-force performance as a woman struggling to reclaim her life after a harrowing kidnapping, only to find her grip on sanity loosening further upon arriving at her husband's secluded family estate. The film expertly weaves a tapestry of unease, making the audience question every creak and shadow alongside the protagonist. Supported by a compelling turn from Micheál Neeson, Ireland's portrayal is raw and deeply affecting. With critical acclaim, including a lauded 93% on Rotten Tomatoes, and a captivating narrative that delves into the lingering effects of unspeakable events, 'Somewhere Quiet' is a must-see for those who appreciate intelligent, suspenseful filmmaking that lingers long after the credits roll.
