SOLIS

Cinemavixion Review

Carl Strathie's 'Solis' plunges viewers into a harrowing fight for survival, anchored by a compelling performance from Steven Ogg. Ogg portrays an asteroid engineer adrift in an escape pod, his desperate journey toward the sun a potent metaphor for confronting mortality. The film masterfully builds tension through the isolation of space and the ticking clock of dwindling oxygen, amplified by the ethereal, yet crucial, radio contact with potential rescuers. While the narrative grapples with themes of loss and the unexpected connections that can emerge in extremis, its bleak outlook and 0% Rotten Tomatoes score suggest a challenging, albeit thought-provoking, cinematic experience. 'Solis' is a stark exploration of the human will to endure against overwhelming cosmic odds, offering a claustrophobic and intense encounter for those drawn to existential science fiction.
