SLAVERY: A GLOBAL INVESTIGATION

Cinemavixion Review

This powerful documentary, "Slavery: A Global Investigation," by acclaimed filmmakers Kate Blewett and Brian Woods, confronts a stark and deeply unsettling reality: the persistent existence of modern slavery in a world that ostensibly condemns it. The film meticulously details the horrific scale of this exploitation, revealing that more individuals are enslaved today than during the entire transatlantic slave trade. Blewett and Woods, known for their unflinching examinations of human rights abuses, bring their signature investigative rigor to bear, presenting a visually and emotionally devastating account of contemporary bondage. Their work serves as a crucial, albeit grim, testament to the urgent need for continued awareness and action against this pervasive injustice. It is a film that demands to be seen, prompting reflection on the hidden cruelties that persist beneath the surface of our global society.
