SKAL: FIGHT FOR SURVIVAL

Cinemavixion Review

Benjamin Cappelletti's "Skal: Fight For Survival" plunges viewers into a chillingly plausible near-future scenario where a massive internet celebration quickly devolves into a desperate fight for existence. The film centers on Arthur, a social media sensation toasting a milestone 3 million subscribers, whose revelry is brutally interrupted by the inexplicable disappearance of all water on Earth. What follows is a stark and gripping portrayal of societal collapse, as Arthur and his friends are thrust into an primal struggle against dwindling resources and escalating chaos. The narrative, co-written by Cappelletti and Guillaume Grélardon, effectively contrasts the superficial glitz of online fame with the brutal realities of survival, making for a potent, albeit bleak, cinematic experience. While the film may not boast extensive accolades, its premise offers a compelling, cautionary tale for our increasingly interconnected and resource-dependent world.
