SHOT IN THE DARK

Cinemavixion Review

In "Shot In The Dark," director Keene McRae crafts a tense thriller centered on William Langston (Kristoffer McMillan), a man haunted by a past mistake that resurfaces with deadly consequences. Released in 2021, the film masterfully weaves a narrative of escalating dread as William finds himself targeted by a relentless killer, with his closest friends becoming the next victims. McMillan delivers a compelling performance, anchoring the film with a palpable sense of desperation and fear. The supporting cast, including Christine Donlon and Brandon Bernath, effectively contribute to the suffocating atmosphere. While the film garnered 5 wins and 4 nominations, its IMDb rating of 3.5/10 suggests a divisive reception. Nevertheless, "Shot In The Dark" offers a gripping exploration of guilt, mortality, and the terrifying ways the past can catch up to us, making it a noteworthy, albeit dark, addition to the thriller genre.
