SHORTCUT

Cinemavixion Review

Alessio Liguori's "Shortcut" plunges viewers into a primal fear scenario, where a wrong turn on a desolate road becomes a gateway to unimaginable terror. The film masterfully builds suspense as five teenagers find themselves hunted by a relentless, mysterious creature. Liguori's direction capitalizes on the isolation of the wilderness, creating an atmosphere thick with dread. The young cast, including Jack Kane and Zanda Emlano, deliver performances that capture the raw panic and desperation of their situation. While the creature design and motivations remain shrouded in mystery, "Shortcut" succeeds as a tense, creature-feature that taps into classic horror tropes. Its blend of survival horror and supernatural elements, supported by a respectable 60% on Rotten Tomatoes, makes it a compelling watch for fans of the genre seeking a chilling, atmospheric experience.
