SHE'S THE MOTHER OF EVIL

Cinemavixion Review

This documentary delves into the notorious life of Kath Pettingill, a figurehead of a criminal dynasty. The narrative paints a stark picture of a matriarch whose influence spawned a generation entangled in crime, with many meeting tragic ends or disappearing into witness protection. Pettingill's own history is marked by numerous convictions, and her autobiography, "The Matriarch," offers a personal account of her life. The reported incident of offering a bounty for an undercover detective's testicles underscores the extreme nature of her criminal enterprises. The film explores themes of family, survival, and the pervasive impact of a life lived outside the law, offering a compelling, albeit disturbing, look into a dark chapter of Australian criminal history.
