SHELTERED

Cinemavixion Review

Josh Stoddard's 2010 thriller "Sheltered" plunges viewers into a claustrophobic nightmare where a devastating storm traps a group of vacationers with a homicidal maniac. Set against the backdrop of an impending tempest, the narrative unfolds within the confines of a house, amplifying the tension as the characters realize their sanctuary has become a deathtrap. The film, featuring a cast including Stacia Crawford, Gerald Downey, and Tricia Small, effectively utilizes its isolated setting to build suspense. While "Sheltered" may not boast widespread critical acclaim or major awards, it delivers a straightforward, albeit familiar, slasher experience that capitalizes on the primal fear of being trapped with a relentless killer. For fans of contained horror scenarios, this independent feature offers a chilling evening's entertainment.
