SHEER PANDEMIC

Cinemavixion Review

In 'Sheer Pandemic,' Kris Clinton and Chason Laing deliver a surprisingly sharp comedic performance as two friends whose lives take an unexpected turn amidst a global crisis. When unemployment strikes, their desperate venture into the black market for toilet paper quickly escalates, drawing them into the dangerous orbit of gangsters. The film cleverly uses the absurdity of the situation to explore themes of fear, desperation, and the unpredictable consequences of one's actions. While the premise leans into dark comedy, the performances ground the narrative, particularly the evolving dynamic between the protagonists as they grapple with their increasingly perilous predicament. Director Grant Davis and co-director/writer Chason Laing craft a narrative that, despite its low-budget origins, offers a compelling, albeit cautionary, tale about navigating chaos and the true cost of living in fear.
